Use it first
If we would not keep the app on our own phone, it does not ship. Client work gets that same test.
About us
GapSlice started in 2024 from a plain want: apps that helped with our own day, then a name to put them under.
GapSlice Inc. is an independent company that started because the apps we wanted for ordinary days did not exist in a form we trusted. In 2024 we made it official and started shipping under one name.
Every app we make is built by us and used by us. That is the filter. We take a project when it closes a gap we can feel, in a morning routine, a walk, a meeting, a household. Money is not the first question. The first question is whether the thing is worth opening again tomorrow.
Once the way of working was clear, we started offering it to other people: native iOS and Android, listings that can be found, and the unglamorous coordination that keeps a product moving. More recently that includes the layer between a company's tools and its agents, because we had to build that connective tissue for ourselves first.
There is one team. The person who scopes the work is in the build. There is no account layer between a question and an answer.
If we would not keep the app on our own phone, it does not ship. Client work gets that same test.
The first version is the smallest thing that is already useful. Features earn their place after someone relies on the core.
Scope, build, and launch stay with the same people. You are not handed from a seller to a team you have never met.
Engineering
Mobile, web, and the systems behind them live in one room. We care about a screen that stays fast, a release you can install this week, and a decision you can explain without a diagram.
Studio
The other half of the work is choosing. Listings, scope, and the call to ship or cut. We would rather tell you an idea should stay an idea than wrap it in a twelve-month plan.
Reach the studio directly. We read everything.
